Optimization of Process Conditions for Ultralightweight Steel with More Than 13 wt% of Al and 5 wt% of Cr

چکیده

An ultralightweight Fe–30Mn–13.2Al–1.6C–5Cr steel, which contains more than 13 wt% of Al and thereby reduces the density by 20%, is developed. The very brittle due to high content, fabricated optimizing hot rolling heat treatment conditions. Hot conducted after soaking at temperature range 1100–1200 °C for 2 h. steel hot‐rolled successfully 1100 °C, whereas specimens soaked 1150 1200 are intergranularly cracked rolling, resulting from coarse grain a large fraction size ferrite, transformed ordered DO 3 phase during cooling, boundaries. In homogenization treatment, water quenching air cooling performed, respectively, holding 1050 air‐cooled has inferior tensile property formation Meanwhile, water‐quenched shows an excellent property, attributed uniform microstructure comprising austenite, fine κ ‐carbide in small phase.
